How To Reach Dehradun

By Road-

But try to avoid a road trip in the monsoon season as many of the roads are quite thin between Dehradun to Mussoorie which will make a hurdle in between. Tapkeshwar Temple:

The Tapkeshwar Temple or Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple, is located at a distance of 6.5 kilometres from the city centre of Dehradun. It’s a cave shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, thihs temple is located at the banck of river that makes it even more amusing.  This cave was once the home of the famous Guru Dronacharya and hence is also known as Drona Cave.

Ram Rai Gurudwara:

Established by ‘Ram Rai’, the eldest son of the seventh Guru of the Sikhs, Sri Har Rai ji in 17th Century, Ram Rai Gurudwara in Dehradun is one of the oldest Gurudwara and a popular pilgrimage center of the Sikh religion.

An annual fair is held every year on the 5th day after Holi.

Kalinga War Memorial:

Kempty Falls is a waterfall in Ram Gaon located at the south of Kempty, in the Tehri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand, India. This place is 13 kilometres from Mussoorie towards Chakrata Road, and 45 kilometres from Dehradun. Kempty falls is nearly 1364 meters above sea level.

Clouds End is located about 7.5 km away from Mussoorie Library road. Unlike other tourist spot of Mussoorie, this place holds another level of peace and tranquility in the air.

Gun Hill Point:

From the months of October to February, there exists the winter season when the temperature decreases to 2 degrees Celsius in the months of December. Dehradun does not give you the pleasure of snow but if you are lucky, you can witness snowfall in Mussoorie.

A Visit to Binog Wildlife Sanctuary

Although this sanctuary is located away from Mussoorie, it is worth visiting if you are in the hill station. Great for the kids and the family, at this sanctuary you will come across a few wild animals, plenty of trees and some exotic birds.
