These features make Radhanagar Beach one of the most desirable destinations in the world.

Snorkelling and scuba diving at Havelock under professional trainers can be a lifelong experience. Look at the many sea creatures, some standing and some walking, some peeking and some hiding, some squirting and some hidden, some in groups of thousands and some with single and guarded guards guarding the corners of the shelter. Each pumpkin in front of you as you swim with the sea creatures brings you face to face with a new surprise.

Viper Island: Andaman and Nicobar

Viper Island has a reputation for being a witness to the inhuman and degrading treatment meted out to Indian freedom fighters in the pre-British era. The island is said to have got its name from a ship called the HM.S. The Viper where Britisher Archibald Blair had landed in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands back in 1789.

The ship reportedly sank near the island. Viper Island is tainted with the blood and sacrifices of brave national heroes as is the case with Mobile Prison. It was a prison where prisoners had been held captive before the Port Blair Mobile Prison was built. It consists of hanging ruins on top of a low hill. The worst form of torture was inflicted on political prisoners where they were chained to metal chains which he earned as the Viper Chain Gang Jail.

It can be reached by short boat ride from Aberdeen Jetty in Port Blair. Although the island is now poorly maintained and some kind of devastation during the recent Andaman Tsunami still deserves a visit because of its historical significance.
